After a night's rest I will awaken tomorrow and go to get my teeth cleaned for the first time in several years. It is a small blessing, but it is a wonderful one. Why? Because there is a wonderful place near my town that takes care of such things for the uninsured self-employed on a sliding scale basis.
I qualified for reduced payments and am delighted with the quality of service I receive despite this. As my financial situation continues to improve, I will make sure to pass this small blessing on and send donations to the clinic I visit to ensure that others can continue to visit the clinic. While it should not be solely the burden of a few citizens, it is important that we individuals help out those who are less fortunate as our government continues to tighten the noose on programs that benefit the masses.
I am so thankful for the blessings I have received in my life - big and small - and today I will enjoy one of them.
