I agree with you. I have friends who have immaculate homes with a handful of kids and it makes me wonder how in the world that happens? The kids need to learn how to pick up after themselves. What kind of adults is a person raising if they do all the work for their kids? I won't clean up after them. I am not a helicopter parent. I want my time to read and write and dance and sing! WHeeeeee!

I totally understand your feeling. I have two small girls and a husband who is a child himself. Trying to keep my house organized is a battle I fight on a daily basis and I wouldn't say I'm winning. But I do understand kids are kids and having a fun childhood is a lot more important than having a pristine house, so fun it is. Organization might come in the future. If I'm not too old to even care. =)
